Thanks to technological advances and subsequent training, Cindy Piller is creating success for authors and happiness for listeners through audiobooks produced in her Colorado studio. She consistently receives 4-5 star performance ratings and has become narrator of choice for multiple authors. It’s a different world than her prior work with voicing commercials, taping PSA’s and videos for non-profits and schools or from providing medical education courses for major medical groups across the country, but she loves it! She has trained with Johnny Heller, Sean Pratt, Barbara Rosenblatt, and David Lawrence XVII.
Fiction: Her work has included a number of mysteries and suspense novels, many with a little romance on the side. She has also done a contemporary western trilogy and is working on a continuing historical fiction series.
Non-fiction: In addition to historical and biographical projects, Piller has also done 5 books in a very popular “growth hacking for storytellers” series.
What Authors Say:
Although I knew about writing and Maya knows about producing audio from her podcast, we didn’t know much about audiobooks or the audiobook market. We were looking for someone to partner with who could translate what we thought we had to a listening experience. We think you are and have been the perfect partner for us, and we’re really happy we all found each other.
Monical Leonelle — Growth Hacking for Storytellers Series
All your training and hard work certainly comes through strong in your finished narration. Wish I’d found you earlier.
Jonnie Jacobs – Kali Obrien Mysteries and “Payback” Suspense
I am so pleased how you brought my characters to life. You rounded them out and added life to my words. I am so proud of that.
A.K. Moss – The “Unspoken” Trilogy
Just finished listening to the audiobook and it sounds great!!! You really nailed the characters and different voices. I love it.
K.B. Jensen – “Painting with Fire”
I just love your reading of “Seeking Signs”. I shared your recording with close friends and family who know the book, and we all agreed your voice is the perfect fit. I’d like you to narrate “The Honey Whiskey Murders”, the next in the series.
Staci Angelina Mercado – “Seeking Signs”
Thanks for your beautiful voice, heart, soul, and interpretation of my story!
I am in awe of how you portrayed me as well as my mother; you got the voices perfect. You do me proud!
Gail Hamilton – “Soaring”
What Listeners Say:
I really enjoyed Cindy Piller’s narration, easy-to-listen-to voice with wonderful, not overdone, enunciation. Excellent gender changes, pace, and rhythm. 5 stars to Cindy.
Audiothing – “Mind Over Murder”
I read the book first—then I listened to it. The narrator is Cindy Piller; her style was crisp and light—listening to audio is much like drinking wine—there are so many levels and flavors. This particular audio inspired me more! Me, I’m going to listen again.
MVF – “The 8-Minute Writing Habit”
The narration and production were of excellent quality. I enjoyed this book very much.
Vickie – “Seeking Signs”
Short fast read. Very well written, leaves you wanting more from the sensuous Ms. Cassidy. The narrator is fantastic!
Kindle Reader – “Clever as the Devil”
The audio version is really good. Ms. Piller is one of those narrators who make you forget it’s not you who’s reading. I liked her interpretation of the novel a lot; it sounds very natural and flows so smoothly that I never once lost track of what was going on or who was speaking…. I do like this kind of narration , I prefer it to one that is “overacted”, with voices of the characters of the sex opposite to the interpreter’s usually sounding really unnatural or slurred — this is definitely not Ms Piller’s case. Her interpretation of the book is clear, smooth and brings the story itself to the foreground.
Lidia C. – “Painting with Fire”
The narrator really brings this story to life she puts so much of herself into it from the emotions to the excitement, mystery and thrills. You have no trouble picturing in your mind as she takes you through each step right down to the ending that will blow your mind. Her character voices are outstanding. Ms. Piller hits each tone right on the money from the fear, tears, sorrow, sadness, happiness right down to the feeling of lost. Her male voices are just as good as her female ones with the males being strong, powerful, lost, fear, degrading and downright mean to her female ones that show fear, sorrow, hate, and confusion as she takes you on a spellbound journey of finding a killer and giving justice. There were no background noises or any place where the volume is higher or lower than other places in the audio, just a clear, crisp listen that keeps you hanging on as she takes you through a compelling journey. If any breaks were taken you could not tell. Ms. Piller puts her heart and soul into this audio pulling the listener in and taking the listener through to a very surprising ending. I did not find anything about her performance that I did not like. She did a wonderful, outstanding job. I can’t wait to listen to more of her work.
Cyn – “Witness for the Defense”
Strong, Powerful narration with good cadence.
Daman – “Payback”
